Yes it is very good for gaming. My only suggestion would be that you bump the processor up to at least the E6700, other than that it is fine. Don't listen to people who tell you to get SLI, you have enough video card there. Also ignore anyone who tells you Alienware sucks.

Workstations aren't for gaming, they have a different type of video card, and you don't need 20 gigs of memory on a gaming machine.

is it cheaper to buy a dvd or copy it from block buster?

i mean is it chaeper to buy a dvd from the store or is it cheaper to rent it from from blockbuster. when i say copy i mean like the money for the discs and the software to do it and maybe the cases and the rentals. or is it cheaper than buying them, i mean if you do like 200 copys will it be cheaper. oh ya and what do you do do you make copys or buy the ral thing and why.

Newer discs from Blockbuster are copy protected. If you are asking these questions, I'm assuming you don't have the advanced devices to override the copy protection. If you look on the back of the movie cases near the bottom, there is a picture of one disc pointing to another disc. That picture has a line going through it like the "no smoking" or "ghostbusters" logo. These discs can't be copied. Trying to copy them will just waste a disc or give you some really crappy version of the original. In this case…it's cheaper to just buy the movie.

Also, it costs over 5 bucks to rent a movie from blockbuster. YOu are better off waiting until they have a 2 for 20 or 4 for 20 sale than renting/ buying a movie.

What is the margin of those businesses?

By your experience, what is the gross margin of following business?

1) DVD rental
2) Auto repair
3) Real estate
4) Internet sales
5) IC design
6) Restaurant
7) Gas station
8) Software development
9) Financial service
10) Advertising, marketing

Why do you care about GROSS margin? The important question is how much NET profit you can make!

How much do you want to make? Example: auto repair – what is the cost (both material and labor) and overhead (that's rent, office labor, telephone, utilities, taxes, etc.) PLUS profit you want to make.

Asking GROSS margin (profit) is the wrong question. See the answer I gave to the person who wants to open a restaurant. Lots more questions to ask yourself.

I'm not being flip, just questioning you right back.

what is the best software for copying Rented Movies and TV Shows DVDs?

I want to copy rented DVD so i can watch them whenever I want. Additionally, i want to be able to do the same with TV show rentals like a set of DVDs for the Sapranos or 24.

I know there are lots of choices for software but have heard that most can not copy the TV show DVDs

any thoughts on the Best DVD writer machine.

Want to play the DVDs on the computer DVD player and record on an external. Again, key is software must work for both movie and TV Series DVDs

thanks in advance

'DVD Decrypter' question?

Is ripping rental DvD's onto my hard drive using 'DVD decrypter' the same as using any other copy bypass software. because i heard that dvds are encrypted to prevent copying. so decrypting the disc doesn't actually affect the original disc does it??

There is NO WAY you can affect the original disc (unless of course you do some kind of physical damage to it).

DVD Decrypter does a good job of taking a DVD and putting it to your hard drive. You might also try a program called DVDSHRINK.

Either way, there ARE some DVD protections that these 2 programs CAN'T handle.

Good luck.
